My name is Amber Martin and I am the seamstress behind the Vixin Creations. Growing up I was an artistic child. Always liked to dress different, be different and had a unique style. Creativity has been a lifelong passion of mine and I have tried to harness the creative energy into something meaningful. I took 4 years of graphics, design and sales/marketing in college and in 2003, when my first daughter was born, I started my own children’s clothing line called Bullfrogs and Fireflies. It has blossomed into a full time career and I expanded into Women’s wear as well as Bridal and formal wear. I enjoy offering unique items with a creative, one of a kind flair. That is when The Vintage Vixin was born.

What girl doesn’t dream of her wedding day from as early as she can remember……who she will marry, the colors of her wedding, but most importantly “The Dress”. That one item on her wedding day that will set her apart from all the rest. The doors open and there she is waiting to make her entrance. Everyone stands as they watch her take her first steps. She is wearing the most beautiful, one of a kind dress that she has dreamed of up until this very day. Everyone is speechless and at last, the moment has arrived that she has waited for all her life. Everything is perfect, the day, the groom, every detail, especially the dress.

Here at The Vintage Vixin, I give the bride the opportunity to create her dreams up to the very last detail. A keepsake she will have for the rest of her life. She can create her entire wedding from her gown, brides maids gowns, flower girl dress and ring bearer vest and ties. I even offer the veils, petticoats and preservation services.

So I guess it is only fair that I share a little sneak peek at THE DRESS. Our photoshoot is July 19th and I am sooooo excited about it. I can't even to begin to tell you how thankful I am to be working with some of the most WONDERFUL people. They are all bending over backwards to help make this amazing. Abbie Takes Pictures, The Crimson petal, Salon Dakota, Tyler, our little models and many, many more. This is just surreal....

I have to say that is has been almost a decade since I took my college drawing classes (OMG, I just gave away my age..oops!). Everyone says "Oh, it's like riding a bike" Well....HA! Maybe for them, but for me it just helps to get all of my ideas on paper....good or bad, beautiful or simple. So, from the first touch of my pencil to the paper "The Dress" was born and... Her name is Audrey:

How Lucky Can One Gal Be!!

Good Morning!!!

The past few days have been like a whirlwind to me. It is amazing that all your dreams can come true within a matter of a week. God has truly blessed me and I am fastening my seat belt as the journey begins.

For those of you who don't know me my name is Amber and I am a Designer and seamstress. I have had my own Children's clothing company called Bullfrogs'N'Fireflies for 7 years. I sell on ebay, etsy and on my website www.bullfrogsandfireflies.com

The years have been very good to me, but I have always had this passion for bridal wear. I have talked for many years about making custom wedding gowns and eventually opening my own shop. Well, I guess when it is the right time, it is the right time....in the matter of weeks it has blossomed into a wonderful dream. Something I am afraid I am going to roll over and wake up from. But, I have come to realize this is not a dream....I am not wearing ruby slippers...my name is not Dorothy, I in fact and living my dream....
